Why Vanessa
Hi I’m Vanessa Johnson of Desert Bodywork. I bring over two decades of practiced, intentional touch to every session. My work draws from an unusually deep well of training, structural integration, craniosacral therapy, manual lymph drainage, Ayurvedic bodywork, Reiki, and more, so that each treatment is built for the person in front of me, not a protocol off a menu.
Desert Bodywork was founded on a simple belief: exceptional care should come to you. Whether you're a seasonal resident settling in for winter, a guest recovering from a long flight, or someone managing chronic tension that an ordinary massage can't reach, I will meet you where you are and draws on whichever modality best serves your body's needs that day.
Who I serve
Seasonal residents & homeowners
You have a home here. Let the bodywork feel as familiar as your own space, consistent, private, and built around your rhythms.
Luxury travelers & resort guests
No shuttles, no spa waiting rooms. I arrive at your villa or hotel, already prepared for you.
Athletes & active adults
Golfers, tennis players, pickleball enthusiasts, recovery bodywork that restores range, reduces soreness, and keeps you playing.
Professionals managing chronic stress
When tension lives in your body year-round, you need more than a once-in-a-while treat. You need a practice.
Sessions on your terms
Mobile sessions that bring the treatment space to your home, resort, or vacation rental. Prefer to come to me? In-studio sessions are available at Salon 119 & Spa in Palm Springs.
Every session begins with listening
Your body's condition on the day, not a standard protocol, determines the treatment. Techniques are chosen for you, not from a fixed menu.
20+ years, fully certified
CAMTC certified #14830. Fully insured. MBLEx passed. Trained in over 18 modalities. You're in expert hands.
Discreet & professional
Punctual, prepared, and respectful of your privacy. The experience begins the moment you book.
No two sessions are identical. Before we begin, I listen to what you say and to what your body is telling me. That listening shapes everything.
Your space.
Your pace.
Your session.
